We know the pandemic has ruined a lot of wedding plans, particularly for those who had their hearts set on a summer 2020 ceremony. Fortunately, there are plenty of beautiful winter wedding venues that are sure to sweep you off your feet if you’re looking for somewhere to tie the knot before the year is out, so don’t fret!
To give you a head start and help you find the perfect winter wedding spot, we’ve collated our top 5 locations from our home county, Kent – keep reading to find out more about them.
Leeds Castle – Kent
If you’ve read our blog, CASTLE WEDDING VENUES IN KENT, you’ll already be familiar with LEEDS CASTLE.
Situated towards the South East of Maidstone, where the Alta Costura showroom is based, Leeds Castle is truly a breathtaking winter wedding venue. Surrounded by a moat, the historic location makes for a truly beautiful venue in the winter.
The castle features a selection of reception rooms, a stunning ceremony room, as well as a banqueting room for the feast that follows your I do’s! The banqueting room also has views spanning out across the moat, a lovely view to have on a cold and frosty day. But it’s unlikely to be cold inside with the grand 16th century French Caen stone fireplace in the room too!
In addition to the main castle, you can also hire The Maiden’s Tower for your big day. The tower was reconstructed as part of Henry VIII’s rebuilding work (supposedly for the queen’s ladies in waiting). Located adjacent to the castle, the 16th century building is a self-contained venue – perfect for the wedding celebrations and accommodation for you and your guests!
The Ferry House Inn – Isle of Sheppey
Located on the small Isle of Sheppey, THE FERRY HOUSE INN has a remote and secluded feel – perfect for a cosy winter wedding! Positioned right next to the waterside, this venue is surrounded by lush countryside and wetlands, ideal for those who are looking for a homely and rustic wedding in the colder months.
If you don’t believe us, take a look for yourself! You can browse their selection of seasonal weddings over at their ONLINE GALLERY. The winter ceremonies look spectacular, particularly the ones HEADING UP TO CHRISTMAS – a real Christmas tree and rustic decorations make this wedding look magical.
Eastwell Manor – Ashford
A luxury spa hotel located in Kent’s countryside, EASTWELL MANOR is the perfect spot for an elegant winter wedding. The charming wedding venue was built over 450 years ago, and is sure to impress with its 3,000 acres of landscaped gardens – a beautiful and idyllic backdrop for your big day!

Nettlestead Place – Nettlestead
Established in the small town of Nettlestead, Maidstone, this venue provides an incredibly serene and elegant backdrop for a winter wedding. The manor house and gardens are quaint, but this doesn’t mean they aren’t spectacular!
NETTLESTEAD PLACE describes your day as follows:
“You pass under the beautiful 14th century gatehouse and down the yew tree lined drive in your bridal car or horse and carriage, with nervous excitement of what is to come. If having your ceremony at the venue, you make your way to either the beautiful Rose Garden or stunning 13th Century Undercroft where you will be greeted by the smiling faces of family and friends and best of all……. your partner.”
Only a limited number of dates are released each year for weddings, so make sure you get in touch sooner rather than later to book your spot.
One Warwick Park Hotel – Tunbridge Wells
ONE WARWICK PARK HOTEL is a truly beautiful location, filled with charm, elegance and style. The venue, nestled in the Pantiles District of Royal Tunbridge Wells, is also a Grade II-listed building which used to be a brewery and school house.
What really makes this venue stand out is the venue’s 15-foot arched windows which, even in the winter months, adorn the space with light, making it look and feel spacious.
